H.E.A.R.T.

...is not saying I am good enough to succeed, it's the stepping up to the line and doing it. It's more than just being confident in yourself and in your teammates...it's having the strength to follow up on every race with the effort required to succeed or get so close it should have been there. Remember to have H.E.A.R.T is:
to give a Heroic Effort...Against Reasonable Trammels.

It means to step to the line and look to your left and your right and trust every man...every woman who took on the responsibility to don a Morton jersey...to give everything they have for this race. To never give up in mind or body until the chute is behind them and they can say they gave from start to finish their best.

Why do we ask so much of our fellow runners? Why not just settle for 'good enough', for trying 'most of the way'? Because when you put on your jersey you're making a promise to your teammates that you will not be lumped in with the average attempts...to succeed against your great opponent every time: YOURSELF.

We all have limits my friends...but I hope you never believe in them, because like the wind and sunshine we know they exist but never see them explicitly but only see the destruction caused by their effects. Believing you have reached your limit is like fighting against a hurricane...you ain't gonna get no where (I know bad grammar but so is holding yourself back).

The eagle flies at midnight...but you have flown higher and farther than that eagle EVER could!

PS. The eagle also can fly much better than a redbird :)
