Between these accomplishments, and the names on the 14 & 15 Minute Clubs, we hope young athletes will realize that people who grew up in the same places they did, who ran the same roads they do, who circled the same track, and the same Idlewood park that they do, these people were able to have success. Who knows, maybe the young men will realize they know someone on this list, and never realized what they had accomplished. Talk to that person! They can share a lot with you.
To be on this list, we are considering achievements such as: State Qualifiers (team or individual), Conference, Regional, or Sectional Champions (team or individual), 1st Team All-Conference Individuals, Honor Roll Medalists, Regular Season Winning Percentages greater than 75%, Journal Star Runner of the Year Honors, and School Records. We know that we have virtually no hope of compiling a complete history, but would love to get as close as possible.
